Kazi Nazrul Islam Biography
Name: Kazi Nazrul Islam is the national poet of Bangladesh. He is notable as the Rebel artist in Bengali writing. He was born at Churalia , in Asansol.
Life sketch: His father’s name was Kazi Fakir Ahmad and his mother's name was Zaheda Khatun. His parents lost four children before his birth. So, they gave him the nickname Dhuku Mia.
Early life: In his early life Nazrul lost his mother. For this, he had struggled hard against poverty. In his boyhood, he was very precocious and naughty. He was admitted to a local Primary School. Be that as it may, he didn't comply with the firm run of the School. He vexed the villagers with his boyish evil deeds. The villagers called him "Khepa". Subsequent to passing the Primary Examination he committed himself to religion. He turned into an educator in the town Maktab. There he showed the town kids the sacred Quran. He also becomes a muezzin. At this time he becomes well acquainted with Islamic lore which influenced his later literary works to a great extent. He also entertained the village people through theatrical party know as Letto and earned name and fame.
Education: At twelve he fled away from home and took the job of a baker boy and for that, he got take 5 per month. As of now, he drew the consideration of a Muslim sub-monitor of Police. He took Nazrul to his own townhome and got him conceded into a secondary school. The first World War has broken out. He joined the war and become a Havildar.
Literary Works: He continued his writings there. He composed a few lyrics and composition pieces which made him well known. The Regiment was banned. He returned to Calcutta. At this, he edited a magazine named Dhumketu in which he published all his revolutionary writings. He was sent to imprison for one year for composing the sonnet "Agamani". His famous creations are Agni Bina, Bandhan Hara, Rikter Bedan, Bisher Bansi, Pralay- Shika etc.
Theme: Nazrul's writings were full of hope, energy, aspiration, and result. Helped them to fight for independence and break the bondage of slavery and the fetters of subjugation.
He has built up himself in our heart and in the chronicles of Bengali Literature.
